Cocks and dry fires

Section 58/2 obsolete caliber. 31 inch damascus barrels, 13 inch walnut stock, foliate engraving to side plates, gun dogs on both sides, deer to trigger gaurd, ELG (leige) proof marks (1852). both swivel plates in place, good stock with clean cheqering. Strong springs that hold on half & full cock, Proof marks FY,NL 17.0 with 00 with an arrow through. Barrel #176.

comes with 2 inert pinfire cartriges & nearly new cleaning kit

The stock has crack behind the right hammer & a small piece of wood missing behind the left hammer. these are small but should be mentioned.

A beautiful working gun that is 158 years old and can be held as a curio under section 58/2 of the 1968 firearms act

Extremely rare de-activated percussion shotgun, made by the midland gun co, damascus barrels, many stamps including the demon stamp, pheasants and gun dog on hammer plates and much decoration under the 90 odd years patina. same gun as featured in the 1925 midland gun co catalogue.

This the most sympathetic deact i have seen with no welding or barrel plugs,just small holes drilled in chambers and firing pins drilled. will chamber cartridges.

Extremely rare long Lee, originaly .303  converted to 410 shot gun. what makes this rare is the fact that is was built at the factory as a single shot, unlike most long lees that have a mag blanked or some that have a wood insert in the mag slot.

these gun were made from 1888 but soon developed the charger mag and by 1906 became the SMLE

Unusual 26 inch barrel, i cant find this length in any Lee Enfield / metford specs

Sympathetily deactivated in 1990  but loads and ejects a 410 cartridge, firing is intact but bolt has a slice of it.  barrel slotted. working safty, cocks dry fires and ejects shell. Rare like this!

This rifle does not have the usual markings where most do, the newest stamps are the de-act stamps from 1990

the smoothbore 410 are a lot older BV nitro proof. 3" choke 9/16 oz

Beautiful Wilkinson sword made in conjunction with the pobjoy mint, 1 off only 500 ever made.

these were made by wilkinson sword to commemorate the novocentenary ( 900 years ) aniversary of her majesty's tower of london in 1978.

this is hand crafted  in the style of the dress sword of the yeoman warders of the tower of london.

this sword is forged from the finest steel with hilt plated in 22ct gold,  imaculate wire bound leather grip, wire looks to be copper or brass, crown pommel.

beautifully etched 32 inch blade with no corrosion or tarnishing, roses  and folliage & Her Majesty's Tower of London Novocentenary 1078-1978.

usual wilkinson crossed swords and by appointment on both sides of blade. the pictures do not do this rare blade justice.

British 1821 pattern sword by J R Gaunt & son. Single fullerd  35 inch blade, overall length 41.5 inches.

excellent unrestored example with all shargreen ( sharkskin ) intact as is the wire binding.

< late>  edward thurkle  Denmark st  Soho London. J R Gaunt were a military cutlers famous for there military buttons & swords, they traded from 1898 and were only at Denmark street from 1900- 1905.

for a sword over 110 years old this is in excellent condition, there is another J R Gaunt in the National Maritime Museum, Grenwich London ( ref E1396 ) 

Austro-hungarian bayonet, built for the 1885 Manlicher rifle. this bayonet was used up to the 1st and during world war.

The 9.5 inch blade has OE over WG on one side, as does the scsbbard. the total length is 14 inches, nearly 15 in the scabbard.

the blade still is a good tight fit in the scabbard. the cross gaurd is marked 99.

A good collectable bayonet with correct scabbard and working latch. good patina, but it is around 120+ years old

11.5 inch blade with 1 & ZSO underneath. makers mark and number on back of handle. working lock.

scabbard marked 5696 CSL E3371. total length almost 17 inches ( 17.5 ) in scabbard.

Excellent shark skin grip with all bindings intact. Brown leather scabbard all complete.

M31 rifle grenade 30 cal  66mm used in the korean war by the U.S. marines, this example is in fine original unfired condition and comes in its original container.

this example is dated 10/ 63 and is a unloaded practice example. length 430mm

effective range was 115 metres with max range 185 metres. the M31 evolved into the m72 LAW anti tank shell

CZ 50 pistol  7.65 mm double action pistol made in czechoslovakia. a copy of the walther PPK.

this seams to be a early example with bakerlite grips, matching numbers 715059 ( worth reaserching) .

simpathetic deact with clear barrel ( slotted ) barrel still shows signs of rifling. fully strippable with working safety. this gun has had some cosmetic work done on it some time in its life with the slot in the barrel filled.

tho it has de-act stamps on body,  slide & barrel  the certificate has been lost.  stamps are DA with crossed swords over 89 so it is probably an early spec. now getting rare.

Rare chrome plated #36 mills grenade,  made by FLH 1940 base plug handle and body marked FLH, no holes drilled in body,plunger, spring, center tube all present and correct.

The plating is many years old and worn thru in places by handling / polishing but that adds character to this item. the only chromed grenade i have seen.
